Question by Honey: Do I need to have an eyesight of 6/6 to work on a cruise ship in a customer service role?
I have been offered a training opportunity on a cruise ship. However I got my left eye injured when I was 11. My left eye was operated upon for stitches and for the eye lens. I had to go undergo cataract surgery as well later on. Since then my eye is as good as normal. Just that I wear glasses. My right eye is 6/6 after glasses but not the left eye. The vision is good but still not 6/6. Am I medically fit for working on a cruise ship or any other similar job?

Question by Sonata: How does cataract surgery work?
I know what the procedure is. What I’m interested in is what the experience is like. I may go for cataract surgery in the near future and I know that you need to keep your eye open the whole time thus I doubt they can put you to sleep for it. However I am very prone to flinching when something gets close to my eyes so I’m concerned about ruining the procedure by not being able to keep my eye open.

Has anyone under gone the procedure?

I had both my eyes done, and I never thought I would be able to do it. They give you something to relax you and put a sheet over you. You can hear them talking, but you feel nothing and see nothing. Don’t be scared.

Non-Invasive Cataract Reversal for dogs. Can-C eye drops with N-Acetyl-Carnosine are supported by veterinarians and pet ophthalmologists to reverse canine cataracts without the need for surgery.
Many dog owners are using this product to effectively address their pet’s cataract condition including veterinarians.

Question by sherry c: Would you have surgery on eye if only a 15 percent chance that it would work?
I have fluid buildup in my eye. It is causing the cornea and iris to be like stuck together. So I have major problems seeing (everything is very blurry and I can’t see anything that is written in paper). I get very annoyed while trying to use the cimputer. The doctor said that it would tale 3 surgeries and there is a 15 percent chance of it working. If I don’t have the surgery, there will be vision loss. The way I see it is either way I will lose my vision so why have the surgeries. I only have some vision in the other eye (congenital cataract). Just would like some thoughts on thus.

Thank you.
