Did you have him looked at by a canine opthamologist? It could be a myriad of things, many of which have no cure but can be managed with medications.

In addition to widespread anecdotal recommendations that antioxidants help fight cataracts, there is some evidence. For example, a study was published in the Journal of Nutrition in December of 2004, showing that antioxidants protected eyes from ultraviolet radiation, which is known to be a cause of cataracts.
