Question by April: My grandma has been diagnosed with atheromatous aorta…But my question is, can she undergo eye operation ?
she has cataract and we are just worried that the eye operation might affect her aorta….

Are all the members of her healthcare team approving the surgery? Has her cardiologist “cleared” her? If they all approve, then surgery will probably be okay. If her eye doctor doesn’t know about the aorta problem, he/she MUST be notified before proceeding with surgery, to obtain medical clearance from her cardiologist.

i was diagnosed with retinal detachment last jan 2007 on my right eye. underwent retinal attachment last feb 2007. but i noticed my vision is still blurry. my doctor found out that i do have to undergo cataract operation. is it ok for me to have the operation on my right eye again this december? even if its not a year when i had my retina attached? thanks

permanent loss of sight in that eye? So apprehensive about this for my husband, who is having this done for the 2nd time. 1st surgery was done a week ago. 2nd surgery will be done this coming week..
