Question by Jupiter: What’s the best way to tell a parent that it’s time to stop driving due to their deteriorating health?
My dad has battled with type 2 Diabetes for several years. In the past three or four years, it has gotten extremely worse. Their have been times that he has lost consciousness while driving and been in a few accidents (thankfully – no one else was hurt expect my dad in these accidents). The state will not revoke his licenses as long as he can pass the eye test, even though he is partially blind in both eyes due to Cataract disease. He is only in his mid-50 and can be very stubborn when it comes to giving up his freedom to rome around when and where he wants to. Between the four of us children, we can’t seem to convince him of the dangerous game his is playing with his life and others.

request of Bluebeard : I had cataract surgery five days ago and in time as well then I do not feel sick, but only one? a little strange. New lens in the eye, which were run by, but my other eye is just my natural eyes with cataract on them. It will be removed within a few weeks. Why do I feel weird? Is it because my brain is always confussed signals from my eyes? best answer:

I’m not sure. It may be coincidence that you feel ill disposed at the same time as surgery. Or you can use a little re-action to anesthesia or other prescription medications you were given. You might want to call the doctor’s office and tell them and see what will appear.

Some patients see very well the day after cataract surgery. Other patients see well a few days after surgery, and still others may need a full month to reach their maximum vision improvement.

You should consult with your doctor.
