Question by Schmabrador is BROWN: Cloudy eye? Thoughts?
So last weekend Remi was a little squinty in his left eye. We’d been training all day, and it was a little dusty, so I figured it was just something in his eye. I cleaned it gently with a warm, wet wash cloth and it immediately seemed to get better, and no squinting the next day. Yesterday I was looking at him and he has a bit of cloudiness in that eye. Not the entire eye, and doesn’t look like cataracts, but definitely something. His vision doesn’t seem impaired, I covered his other eye and he was still able to follow my hand, even at a distance. There’s no redness, itching or other sign of irritation, just a bit of cloudiness in the lower right portion.
He has an apt for the vet tomorrow- I don’t mess around- but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or experience about what might be going on here.
Thanks!

It’s quite possible that he has a scratch on the cornea. The vet will run some dye into the eye so he can look at the cornea for an abrasion. If it is a simple scratch, drops might sort it out, but scratches can go to ulcers which is a bit more complicated – but treatable.
Don’t delay – eyes can’t be messed with and the sooner you get your vet to check what’s going on, the better.
