Question by brilbeaut: What could cause my eye pain?
My eye hurts, as if it was bruised. We are in between health insurance for 2 weeks, but I don’t want to wait if this is serious. I had cataract surgery 3 years ago and my vision’s been terrific. It’s still ok, but my eye hurts, especially when I close it.
I don’t have my wisdom teeth. But thanks for trying.

Answer by Sheena I don’t know about the surgery, but if you still have your wisdom teeth, they can grow up into your sinus and put pressure in your eye cavity

Question by Shaima: On a very old guineapig, do cataracts cause pain?
I have a 9 year old guineapig who is very scared of humans (he is a rescue animal from an abusive home) and he has a very jumpy scared nature.
He has had a cataract in one eye for a few months and it appear to cause him no problems, he eats fine, his behaviour hasnt changed and it just appears that he has lost his sight and he appears to not be in pain.
I resent taking him to the vets because im worried the stress will be too much and he will die as he is very old and not used to being handled or stressed.
So i just want to know if cataracts are painful and should i risk taking him to the vets?
Best answer:
Answer by aka5cents Fortunately, cataracts don’t cause any pain. The guinea pig will lose his sight, but he will be pain free. At the age of 9, there isn’t anything the vet would do about it even if you did take him in.

Question by amberofarabia: my left eye is in pain. no gunk, dry, feels like there’s something in it. It’s not pink eye. What is this?
Not cat allergies. Not traditional pink eye. Been to many doctors all of whom are scratching their heads. It is getting worse. I looked up chlamydia, and that doesn’t seem to be the case. Nor does mere”dry eyes” this is in one eye and is painful from my brow to the bottom lid , but especially the eyeball itself. Please help!!!! My eyes look red and i have a little discharge in my eyes when i wake up, but only sometimes, and it is not like the pink eye i have had in the past.not at all. it is like somebody punched my eye. and then, it goes away, or almost seems to, then it swings back into action and puts my little eye in misery. I have no health insurance and i have spent over $ 700 trying to fix this. A rare exotic disease? A new form of pink eye? cataract rupture? an ancient fated curse? what is this? any ideas are much appreciated!!!

Answer by Andie If you are having new chest pain, especially with your blood pressure and tachycardia you need to go to the doctor RIGHT NOW!
Abnormal potassium can cause heart beat irregularities which can lead to chest pain.
