That’s such a shame, and such a young dog. As it is not life-threatening though, perhaps you can start saving now and get it done in a year or so.

it can take up to 3 months to see the full affect of surgery. your dr has determined that your vision is as corrected as it will get so he prescribed you glasses. the surgery was not guaranteed to provide you will perfect vision.
the abrasion was not your surgeon’s fault it is quite common for the cornea to be scratched during surgery. i wouldn’t worry about that cuz it is now healed.

i don’t know where you live or how far you are willing to travel so i can’t recommend another dr. but be sure to get a second opinion if it would make you feel better.

Question by calban05: my friend is 50she had lasik in one eye – 3 months later ONLY that eye now has cataracts must b related?

Best answer:

Answer by Belie
You cannot take two things together and say that they “must be” related. They very well may not have been related.

I bought new shoes and tripped a few days later when walking in them. It must be because of the new shoes and not because I’m clumsy, the sidewalk was uneven, I wasn’t paying attention, et cetera.

That is basically what you’re saying. You’re using a poor form of logic. It COULD have been caused but consider the other facts. She is fifty. If she’s had laser eye surgery her eyes must have been poor from the start. What about her family’s eye history? Why did she only get surgery for one eye, because that eye was significantly worse than the other from the start?
