You need to see an eye doctor of optician. If a doctor that has examined you cannot tell you what it is (which I find hard to believe), then I really dont think anybody on here will be able to tell you either!

Even if your doctors had not reached a final diagnosis, then they would have excluded things like infection or glaucoma already, and then they would have referred you to a specialist if needed or told you that it was ok and did not need investigation

What do you think? Answer below!

Question by California Guy: Is there a surgery available to repair an Iris tear?
I got an iris tear from blunt trauma to the eye a year and a half ago. Luckily, that was it, didn’t lose my eyesight or anything, I just have an unsightly tear. The doctors said I didn’t need surgery unless I got cataracts or other complications. But does anyone know if there is surgery available to repair iris tears (even if only for cosmetic purposes)?

The surgical procedure is known as iridoplasty(suturing of the iris tear).
It can be done in selected cases.

That could be a cataract. It shows up as a white cloudy spot on the eye.
