Cataracts Treatment

Question by : when i have cataract surgery with a monofocal lense implant how do i keep my face clean?
i am worried about being able to shower from head to toe after this surgery and how can i prevent getting soap and water in the surgical eye? i will be taking antibiotic drops but i need to clean my face and also can i use facial cream and eye cream around my eyes? thank you all for your much needed advice!

while in the shower do not put your face in the water. lean back to rinse out your hair so the water doesn’t touch your face much.
to wash your face just take a wet wash cloth and wipe your face. do not try to use soap on your face to clean it. there should be no real reason to use soap just use a wet wash cloth.
you only have to avoid putting your face in the water for a few days so its not like its a really long time.
DON’T put cream on your face or your eyes for a few days.
the recovery process really isn’t that long and you should be more concerned about your eye healing correctly and less concerned about your beauty routine.

i am just wondering how stable your eye would be like if it would be just as stable as the other one after recovery? or would i always have to be sorta carfull not to get hit in it?

You should be just as careful as you always would.

I don’t think anyone purposely allows themselves to get hit in the eye.

my eye sight seems to have some fuzzness and the claritiy isn’t that great. is the normal?

It is normal to see kind of blurry for a few days after surgery.
If you had some type of multifocal implant, your brain will take some time to adapt.

Question by Tim: About lasik treatment, contact lens and implant lens (due to cataract surgery)?
Which offers better visual results.

In particular i have never tried contact lens before, can you tell me more about this? Such as is it painful to put on the contact lens as its bowl shape like really scare me on putting one. And do they come in specific degrees according to my left and right eye powers? And as such do I have to change my lens over the next few years to keep up with the accuracy?

What are the side effects of lasik treatment in particular?

Surgery is expensive these days, I had cataract surgery, but that was a diffrent story, Well anywho…I would never go for lasik because I could never trust the laser…lol. if i had to make a choice, I would go for contacts, which I still use, If you put them on, you can’t feel them at all, and it is easy to put them on and take them out. Even though cataract surgery is simple, It also takes awhile. Just getting my lens removed during surgery took 45minutes…You might spend a good 3 and a half hours in that operation room.
