I’ve had chronic severe migraines for 10 years. Over the 10 year span the migraines have increased to 2-3 a week, the pain has increased and most of the time the headaches lasts for 2 or more days. Usually my head will be “sore” after really bad migraines and the least little thing I do can trigger another. Four years ago I had lasik eye surgery which corrected my vision tremendously. Over the past year I’ve noticed that my vision has suddenly changed. I also have blurred/fuzzy vision in my left eye. I’m 30 years old and I just had an eye exam by an optometrist who said I could possibly have a cataract forming in my left eye. I do not have a history of diabetes and this concerns me. My eyes hurt soooooo bad after my eye exam!!! My head throbbed, my eyes were sore, and I had a headache for 2 days after the exam. I was prescribed reading glasses (no correction in my left eye, but I have an astigmatism in my right eye that needed correction for me to read.) I’m concerned that there could be more going on. When I have really bad migraines I have a hard time saying things, I’ve noticed that my body will all of a sudden tense up and if I’m holding something I drop it. I will have body jerks several times and it is very scary. My boyfriend has noticed that when I’m talking, I will stop in the middle of what I’m saying, and I will start over again. I’m wondering if anyone else knows what this could be from? I’m so scared that it is something serious.
The last MRI I had was in 2000 which was negative. The reason I came here to ask was because I didn’t know if I was just over reacting. I do not have health insurance right now and I can’t afford to go to the doctor if there is a chance that I’m just over reacting. Any information is appreciated.

Have you ever had an MRI or CT scan of your brain? That could rule out some things…I’m not sure what it could be…Maybe something from the lasik surgery?
