Question by cnesbit523: where would I start to find the best Dr for my chronic problem/symptoms?
mass lower r abd, chronic worsening pain,many Drs consulted, many tests done, all concide thickening of abd wall, at end of rope
gasto, gp surgeon, heart dr wants no invasive work done, don’t know where to turn to diagnose prblem besides pain meds which does nothing for diagnosis.i have mu;tiple med problems, hypo glycemic, recent thirt stint placed with small mi resulting , three invasive back with fusion, hardware, aneurism left cerebral, hysterectomy, nerve impingement, torn miniscus, cholestectomy,lasar, cababe 18 years ago. double pneumonia with last stint placement, double cataract, bladder/bowel/vaginoplasy(?) in dec, am 57 only. I don’t want diagnosis obviously, just where I can go when no one can or will help with this latest delema. Thankyou

Question by Satisfied Customer!: Where can I find research data on n-acetyl-carnosine for the treatment of cataracts?
I’ve done a little Internet research on cataracts on behalf of my grandmother who is not a candidate for cataract surgery. The only info I can find refers to a small Russian study but no links to the study. A Wikipedia article states “the results of new scientific trials have been made available to the Scientific Committee of the RCO” (Royal College of Ophthalmologists) but there is no link provided to the data.

Any ideas on where I can find legitimate information/research studies on n-acetyl-carnosine ?

I have cataracts but I can still read a book with a size 12 or 14 font. How can I find out the size of the font of the book, “Team of Rivals” by Doris Kearns Goodwin. I have written to the seller of the book but have gotten no answer. I can’t just order the book and hope it is a font I can read. Does anyone have any idea how I can find out the size of the font that book is printed in.

If you have a Borders or Barnes & Noble in town, check to see if they have a copy. You can take a look at it there and see if it’s readable for you.

Also, libraries have a number of large-print books, so I would look at your local library to find out if they carry either a large print copy of “Team of Rivals” or if the regular book has a large-enough font.
