Question by MissC: Does any one have used drops to treat cataracts on dogs?
My little dog is starting to develop cataracts. Has anyone used any of the eye drops which claim to treat canine cataracts: Ocluvet, Nu-Eyes, Pet Vision, Can-C

People here are NOT vets. I would never trust the advice of total strangers on YA’s. Have your vet refer you to a canine ophthalmologist.

Question by SK: My Dog is throwing up, new eye drops or cataracts the reasons?
She is 1 and a half, a mutt, and never throws up… but last week in the middle of the night and then tonight she did. The only change she has had are new daily eye drops. She recently was diagnosed with juvenile cataracts and is going blind. Could either of these be why she is getting sick? Also the morning after she threw up in the middle of the night she had little interest in her food – for about a day and a half- but eventually ate it. Thanks in advance for any help!

My eye doctor insistes that I use the drops for 6 weeks after cateract surgery; but the package inserts say two weeks for Nevanac and ten days for Econopred Plus. I have dry eye and that makes this even more pressing as they warn about that. The MD says 6 weeks is standard and the benefits outweigh the risks. Do you have any knowlwdge of this?

Hi,
I live in America, and I have a relative that has developing cataracts, and she needs Bright Eyes eye drops or pills. Where can I find them for her? I need one box to start. Do they have to be described by a doctor and how much does it cost?
Thanks
