Question by JD: What caused my African dwarf frog to have cloudy eyes?
Hi I have an African dwarf frog whom I’ve had for quite awhile and he’s developed what looks like cataracts. It hasn’t detered him any he’s still lively and eats normal. Does anyone know what might be a cause or if it’s treatable or is he going to be blind?

If the frog is worth the expense and trouble, I suggest you consult a vet. People here may suggest disease or whatever but it’s not a great idea to rely on those who can’t even see it and who aren’t pros.

Maybe you should eat him. He sounds like a nice tasty Hampster.

Question by Lainey: Dog’s eye suddenly cloudy?
Our appointment is for Friday, but I’m really concerned about it. He seems to be seeing just fine, and doesn’t seem to be sensitive to light (or lack thereof), but his eye (only one) is cloudy and is reflecting a blue-ish hue when you look at it dead on. His eye isn’t watery, red, he’s not blinking more than usual, etc.

He’s barely 4.5yrs, so I don’t think it’s cataracts, but it’s just so sudden…Any idea as to what this could be? I know I should wait for an official diagnosis, but I’d like to be a little prepared in case it’s something bad.

Cataracts don’t just appear suddenly it could be that your dog has damaged his cornea that can cause cloudy eye and can be treated but be guided by your vet and good luck

Question by Lauren: Why is my guinea pig’s eye gray and cloudy?
Both of his eyes used to be dark brown but today I noticed his left eye was cloudy and gray. His lower eyelid is also a little pink and inflated. He DIDN’T poke it…Does anyone know why it’s like this? Thank you so much!!!
P.S. I looked up pictures of cataracts. It’s not a cataract. Thanks for your help, again!
Never mind that…maybe he DID poke it. I’m not sure. I looked up pictures and everything. He has like a silver thing on his eye lens and the rest of his eyeball is gray…I can’t find any help on the internet.
I don’t think it’s pink eye (Conjunctivitis) because his eye is more gray than pink.

It sounds like an infection, maybe something like conjunctivitis (pink eye). You should take him to a vet and see if he can prescribe something to treat it.
