Cataracts Treatment

Question by Stareyes: My parents did not even call me to wish my Happy Birthday!?
Today is my birthday. My parents live in the same town that we do. They did not even call me to wish me Happy Birthday.

The relationship between me and them has been strained and distant lately, so I guess that I can expect this type of treatment.

But, I wonder about it. I do try and call for their birthdays and we go out to eat.

My mother had cataract surgery though yesterday and can not go out to eat tonight.

I feel funny and sad….I did not mention it at work also and so did not get wished or a cake.

Oh well, I guess that I am another year older.

Should I just feel that that is the way it is or say something to my parents? Maybe they are just trying to show me how they feel….

Family relationships can be difficult at times. She might just not feel good from the surgery. I find it a lot easier to be nice to my kids when they are nice to me. If you call them more often than you do they might call you more.
If she had cataract surgery she must be getting old so maybe forgefullness has set in. How are the teenagers doing?

I read sumwhr in my buk…that ppl with certain optical deficiency are called cataract..I find this topic sumwht interesting..bt i am nt able 2 find perfect definitions 4 cataract…any answers are welcomed..

The surgery is going to cost 5,000 dollars and I don’t have it.
