Question by Steve: Blurry vision: Will eye drops help?
Lately, I have blurry vision, kinda like I just woke up, or what you would see in a cataract commercial
I’ve heard eye drops help fix this problem as it may be a vitamin deficiency.
Or could this be something worse? If I try to focus my vision it goes back to being clear but I have to focus a bit hard to keep is clear and in focus.
That’s the catch, I’ve seen two doctors. They both didn’t give me a answer, they didn’t know.
I’ve been doing alot of school work. But my sight hasn’t increased. And I’m only 17 so I doubt I can get cataracts. I don’t play videos but maybe once a week.
I went to a eye doctor who did a few test then referred me to a eye specialist at a hospital called MCG.
I’m also a photographer, so I take lots of pictures but I don’t strain when taking them. I don’t like tan’s so I don’t go out in the sun much to need eye protection.
I’ve never had eye surgery, but I did have an irregular heartbeat and high blood pressure but it’s normal now. And I only took meds for ADHD which I don’t take anymore.
I don’t have allergies, and I haven’t injured my eyes lately.
Video games* and I meant to say is hasn’t changed from it’s current vision level.
Can that be helped any? The farsightedness. I mean things I read up close are in focus but things a bit far off are out of focus, which is what I have to focus on.

I’ve had this problem with my eyes for some time now. my dad has glaucoma and the rest of my uncle’s on his side don’t have good eye sight either. i hope this doesn’t mean glaucoma or cataracts but these blurry things float around in my eyes like regular black or clear floaters. should i get it checked? and i have a lot of floaters and their so annoying, is there anything i can do to get rid of them?

I’ve had a couple of floaters for years (tiny specks sort of sliding around in my field of vision). My eye doctor said they’re normal, and not to worry about them.

However, it’s definitely a good idea to have your eyes checked for glaucoma every couple of years, especially if it’s in your family, and the doctor can let you know if you have any other problems. Even if a stranger on Yahoo Answers says floaters are OK, only a doctor can tell you for sure.

Question by liberated50s: Why has my vision gone blurry after surgery?
I had a cataract removed a week ago and my vision was very clear and close vision brilliant. Distance vision was still poor but I thought “give it a chance”. Today everything is blurry in the operated eye and my vision is not as good as it was right after the op.

Is this normal and will it right itself? Thanks

it is normal but if its prolonged you have to see the doctor again

Ok..basically what the title says but this is a little complex..ok when i was a baby i had cataracts in both of my eyes. My right eye came out just fine but my left eye when they tried to put the lens in my eye the *eyerius* i think its called? (maybe misspelled it) the lines that go to the center of some1’s eye it split and so my left eye is blurry and always has been.. at first i thought i had a lazy eye lol but now i know thats not that case.. i probably should be asking a Optometrists about this but does anyone know if lasek surgery (however u spell it) or something like that could fix this? im 19 now so the whole patching my eye thing dont think will work..also is there a proper name for what has happen to my eye like a medical term or no?
