it may not be 20/20. i had both my lenses replaced because of cataracts. i have 20/40 vision. this is way better than what i originally had. everyone reacts differently to lens replacement.

Question by Other: Why does my black grandma have icy blue eyes?
The thing that puzzles me is she’s african american. Her eyes are an icy blue and she’s really dark. She’s had these blue eyes since she was born but she said blue eyes don’t run in her family (her mom, dad and grand parents had dark brown eyes). It’s not cataracts. Is that normal? How does that work?

my brindle boxer has a blue/white speck on the corner of her eye… it is like whitish and fades into her normal eye color, its not dust or something its permanantly there. she is 8 years old. whast wrong with her?! can she have a cataract?

Yeah, that sounds like a cataract… My friend’s dog’s eyes were almost completely opaque blue/green when they put her down.

Question by Anne : Weimaraner Blue in Eye?
I have a 2 month weimaraner X pup.
And the owners said that he has blue eyes. And sometimes they are blue. But most of the time they are a Brown/ Grey/ green mix.
I recently noticed that some of the white part just above where the brown ends has a Blue color. not a faded blue but a sky blue color as if that should be his eye color.
I’ve been afraid he has a cataract? but I dont think its that…
Can anyone give me advice?
Were going to the vet soon for shots & i’ll ask but still..

If he’s only 2 months old, he may just have been born with blue eyes, and then they may change colors. My dog was born with blue ones, and then they started turning yellow at about 3 months.
