Question by notme: 6 week old baby with lazy eye in both eyes, and possible white pupil reflex, please read if you can relate?
im so scared she may have cataracts or something worse. I dont want her to lose her sight!!! she is so happy, loves looking around and seeing things and she smiles when she sees me. I am so lost. we have an appointment on april 7 but i think thats too long to wait. I am so scared. does anyone have similar situations?? what is your story? please give me hope!

Answer by greydoc6 A white pupil reflex is cause for immediate trip to the doctor, preferably a pediatric ophthalmologist. Go to your pediatrician if an ophthalmologist cannot see your baby. If your doctor cannot see you tomorrow, find another who can. You are right, you do not wait for something like this.

Question by jokerjeff_2001: Baby guinea pigs wirth cataracts?
Does anyone know anything please.. because my 12 week old guinea pig gave birth to 3 babies .. 1 has got a small eye!.. the other has got a cataract!……………….. please help with info!

Answer by miso1cat Sorry to hear that. Animals are so helpless too. I suppose they could live a normal life. They have some birth defects but as long as they are not in pain they should be able to survive ok. If they are in pain and suffering from other afflictions from these defects…well, you know…but they should be ok.
Any surgery could be very costly but you could just check with your Vet anyway to give them a little physical exam.

Question by Emily: is there anyway to cure baby sugar glider cataracts?
Yesterday i saw my baby glider Mira had white spots in her eyes, which must have occured yesterday or the day before. I soon found out it was cataracts (thanks to helpful yahoo users) and is there anyway at all to save this poor gliders sight?!?!?!
Best answer:
Answer by myaddictiontofire Goodness, I’m sorry about your girl! I’ve never experienced cataracts in any of my animals (five of them are sugar gliders). I think a vet visit is in order, if at all possible… That’s probably your best hope.
Also, for some in depth advice I’d recommend going to this forum: http://www.sugarglider.net – there are so many helpful glider owners there, you’re bound to get more educated responses.
Good luck with her!

Question by Hasan M: Should autistic Baby Need Visa to go Abroad? If needed,it is discriminatory. What is International Law for them
My Baby was born with congenital cataract on both eyes, operated in INDIA when she was 9 Months old.At that time she was diagnosed for ‘Down Syndrom” but no treatment was offered. In 2003,she was diagnosed for having “Autism” by an Indian Neurologist, gave some medicine &fixed a date for next visit after 6 Month.I could not go because of Visa problem.Proper treatment is not available in my country as yet.My Nephew leaves in Canada. He asked me to go but i could not apply for Visa for many reasons. My baby, named Mariyum can’t do anything herself & can’t make understand others about her needs. She is incomplete in all respect for this Univers. She carries love for all without traces of malice in mind.If she is denied Visa, she is denied love from humanity. That is tantamount to gross injustice also.Ok,Visa is given to her-but what about her attendant? She needs an attendant & the attendant needs Visa too.The matter should be considered as a package.THESE PERSONS BELONG TO EVERYBODY IN THE WORLD.
Best answer:
Answer by M Yes. Everyone needs a visa to travel from India to Canada. You and your baby are both a part of everyone.

I am 51 years old.
Best answer:
Answer by redgator40 sounds like the beginning of cataracts. the best time to ask this question would have been during your exam with the doctor. why don’t you ask him/her?
