Question by goggie704: How can I find out the size of the font of a book I would like to buy?
I have cataracts but I can still read a book with a size 12 or 14 font. How can I find out the size of the font of the book, “Team of Rivals” by Doris Kearns Goodwin. I have written to the seller of the book but have gotten no answer. I can’t just order the book and hope it is a font I can read. Does anyone have any idea how I can find out the size of the font that book is printed in.

If you have a Borders or Barnes & Noble in town, check to see if they have a copy. You can take a look at it there and see if it’s readable for you.

Also, libraries have a number of large-print books, so I would look at your local library to find out if they carry either a large print copy of “Team of Rivals” or if the regular book has a large-enough font.

Question by ash h: Can this cataract be treated?
When I was like 3 years old, a cataract formed in my right eye, there were a couple of surgeries, none which totally removed the cataract. Now I am 17, and the cataract remains, I have no vision at all in my right eye, like not even black, its just blank as in my right eye wasnt there. I can feel it of course and it is a real eye, but nothing can be seen, I can only feel slight heat with it, thats all. Don’t know a whole lot scientifically about my situation, was wondering if someone could help by explaining maybe, I can answer questions if u want.

some how i think you did not have cataract surgery but perhaps a different type of surgery for something else all together. i think this cuz cataract srugery is pretty straight forward, simple, and one of the safest surgeries out there. all they had to do was remove your lens and put in a new artificial lens. this would not have needed a couple of surgeries it would have only needed one. and none of the cataract would have been remaining cuz they would not have just taken out some of your lens they would have taken the whole thing out.

do you know of any other eye conditions or problems you may have had?
or could you talk to your parents and ask them exactly what the surgery was for?

cataract-something cloudy & blur that obscures your eyeball. Old age is the main reason.

Question by sonicfan: Why does the dog keep walking in the water bowl?
My aunt has a dog (called fudge) and he keeps going over to the water bowl, has a small drink sometimes and then puts his feet in. He often looks like he is trying to dig through the bowl for somthing. He has diabeties and cataracts and cushings and is quite old if that is important. Please help because he keeps splashing water everywhere all the time!
He is a yorkshire terrier if that is important.
fudge already has a bowl but he rarley drinks from it. The bigger, blue bowl he always uses belongs to the other dogs( Two Jack Russels).

He might not be able to see what he’s doing too well, or he just might like the feeling of water on his paws. You never know.
