I am having constantly headache (portion between the eyes, not the sides of my head) my eyes are tired and sleepy, I wanted to close my eyes always, even how many hours of good night sleep, I still feel tired & headache. I consulted several ophthalmologists, the result is immature cataracts. after applying the prescription given to me for a new set of eye glasses & medicines, like Chloramphenicol + Sulfacetamide (Spersacet -C) eye drops & Dextran 70 (Tears Naturale) eye drops. The pain is still there. Can someone help? Thanks if you can.

I honestly feel your pain… I have had a constant headache for 3 and 1/2 years. A few times a week it even escalates to a migraine. It has gotten to the point that it is disabling. Although you may think that it is eye related, it may be something else.
Some of the treatment I have experienced that you might speak to your doctors about are:
—I have been given shots into the base of my skull near my ocular nerves. The shots consist of a lydocaine type liquid that will numb the head. The good thing about it is that you will know whether or not it will help your headaches within 5-6 hours.
—A list of others is …. oxygen therapy (just breath oxygen for an hour), chiropractic care, seeing a neurologist and even alternative medicine.
Many times the herb feverfew has worked wonders for people, including my father. You can buy it almost anywhere, and it is next to nothing in cost. If you have nothing to lose, give it a try.
And, if your ophthalmologists aren’t helping you any, move on. You are the only one that knows what is right for you… if you don’t feel like you are being helped, find somewhere else to go. Please don’t get discouraged, you will find help soon… if you want to talk more about this… feel free to IM or email me!

    Hi,
I want to know if you have been having nasal congestion lately…do you have allergies?
Because if you don’t have colds right now, then it must be migraine. If you have had colds, then it must be Sinus pain due to Chronic Sinusitis/Allergic Rhinitis.
If you’re female, try to avoid eating food with MSG, too salty and too sour food (that includes junk food) at least two weeks prior to getting your monthly period….this headache can be due to PreMenstrual Syndrome.
MSG (Monosodium Glutamate) causes headache in patients, more severe in those who are sensitive to it.
Also please try to avoid eating fatty food, cheeses, tomato-laden food & chocolates.
If symptoms persist, go to your doctor and see if he/she can request a cranial CT scan or MRI.

Headaches and migraines are both symptoms of vitamin B12 deifciency – either supplement your diet with a good multi B complex tablet or eat more foods rich in this vitamin?? ie: organ meats such as lambs fry and kidneys, skimmed milks, cheese, fish and eggs.
Other symptoms of B12 deficiency are fatigue and exhaustion, depression, irritability and moodiness, inability to think clearly, dizzy spells, loss of balance, nausea and vomiting, insomnia, constipation, excessive sweating, tingling and prickling and numbing sensations in the outer extremities and even chest pains and heart palpitations!! Not pretty hey ………… particularly if you don’t realise the vitamin factor.
Blackmores do a good multi B complex mega stress vitamin including all the B’s – B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12 – as they work best together. When your body is under extra or added stress the B vitamins are usually the first ones to get used up and as they are a water soluble vitamin, if you don’t replace them on a daily basis you’ll suffer the affects.
Sore and tired eyes, sensitivity to bright lights and night blindness are all symptoms of Vitamin A deficiency. Simply eat more foods rich in this vitamin – ie: carrots, pumpkin, dark green and yello vegetables, eggs, milk and dairy products.
    GOOD LUCK

You need to have another talk with your ophthalmologist about this problem. By its position it does sound eye initiated. Ask about anaelgesics that will not interfere with any other medications that you are taking.

Go to your regular doctor, it could be allergies and sinus problems. I left a headache go untreated twice and got nasty sinus infections because of it. If it’s just your eyes, maybe they need time to adjust to your new contacts.
