hi! i have a cavelier king charles spaniel, he is only 1 year 6 months. just about 1 month ago, i noticed that my dog’s eye, (the pupil) was white. i told my mum, and we went to the doctor the doctor said that it was juvnile cataract, and he just gave us this small like 5 or 10ml bottle for the eye. and it cost like S$50???? it’s crazy!!!! just a few weeks ago we went to the same vet again cos the eye medicine finished, and we got a better quality cataract eye drop. and it cost S$65. the vet said that we had to get rid of the white thingy, and if not then, it will become more serious. and eventually we’ll have to do surgery for my dog!!!! and we don’t have enough money, i just need some help, anyone who knows anything about this cataract, then pls do contact me at my email: xamanpreetx@hotmail.com

You should take your vets advice. I think from you re pronunciation of mum that you are probably from Europe. Well in the states if you are here or if not I am sure that they have something similar there are homeless or humane societies for animals, most of these places have a veterinary clinic on site for a very low cost to the owner, I would check to see if there is one in you re area, I have taken my own animals there and they are great caring doctors and low cost so call a animal humane society or an adoption society and they usually have low cost vets or can hook you up with one. Good Luck with your doggy

    Aww.. sorry about your dog.
The best person to ask is the vet and you can read from search engines to find out more about it.

Get in touch with your dogs breeder. This is something that should have been covered in the contract and should be covered, unless it came from a backyard breeder and there was no contract.
This is usually a hereditary problem.

It is very common for american bred dogs to have many thing occour wrong with them. If your dog was bred for bigger and better, this may be one reason for this cause. Also, if you dog is something like a white shepard, or an uncommon offspring as such, these dogs are at very high risk for anything to go wrong. Since that is not the case here, your dog may have gotten this passed down. check his history, see if the sire has any mentioning of this. The costs of vet bill isn’t unreasonable, though. Why do you think they spend so much time in school.. they gotta get some great benefit for 7 years of work.
Check this out for a quick read, should will solve everything.http://www.upei.ca/cidd/Diseases/ocular%…
