I went with my mom for both of hers. The procedure takes a very few minutes, and she left with an eyepatch on. She had to put three different drops in the eye, three times a day for a few days, then less for another two weeks. Her eyesight is better than mine, now.

This is one of the least invasive procedures around today.

her life should be better after the surgery cuz her vision won’t be foggy, she will be able to see better in the dark, and she will not be bothered as much by bright lights.

the only limitations after the surgery are temporary ones like:
-wearing an eye shield to bed few days
-not lifting more than 20-25 pounds for a week or two
-taking eye drops multiple times a day for a few weeks
-trying not to rub your eye while its healing
-not putting her head fully under water while swimming for a few weeks(do to the difference in pressure above and below the surface)
    thats really about it.
i just had cataract surgery 4 weeks ago and its not painful in the least. the worst thing for me was that mine was done under general anesthesia (in most cases its only done under local anesthesia) and i get terribly ill from general anesthesia. basically my nausea went away by the next day and i was doing my normal routine.
