How much approximately cataract surgery costs for someone with no insurance? And does it include IOL (lens)?

Please help? And is it for one eye or both? I am interested in phacoemulsification surgery in particular.

Well it certainly depends on the surgeon. At our clinic, for patients without insurance we give a large discount to help the cost. But you are also required to pay the facility that the procedure is performed in, and you have to pay anesthesia.
I would call your local ophthalmology clinic and ask how much could a cash patient get surgery.
For just the surgeon portion, you could have surgery for $1000 per eye.
I hope this helps.
