My dog needs cataract surgery but I need financial help any ideas where I can call for that?

The surgery is going to cost 5,000 dollars and I don’t have it.

you could apply for something called Care Credit. It works like a credit card good only for the animal hospital. be advised though, haveing a co signer is ideal.

Talk to your vet and see if you can make payment arrangements. Otherwise I don’t know what to tell you. I would say maybe look into some type of personal loan or something, if you want to go that route. There’s not a lot of assistance out there for animals needing thousands in care. You might want to do an internet search for it.

Sometimes a wonderful organization called United Animal Nation, located in California (www.uan.org) They have programs to help people financially when something like this occurs. I can’t promise you will qualify but won’t hurt to ask. You could also see if your area has a pet sitting Network (visit http://www.petsit.com), type in your zip code and see if there is a pet sitting network in your area. They work with the community to educate and raise funds for pet related emergencies.

Most vet specialists will usually have some sort of pay plan. Care credit is one of those. Ask the place that is doing the surgery what their payment plan is.

5000 USD for cataract for a dog.. that is a big sum I think..
I am not a vet really… I am a regular human ophthalmologist.. but not situated in USA… I did several cataracts for dogs and only charged 1000 USD for that… if you would like to get your dog and do the surgery here in Egypt will still be cheaper even after paying the flight tickets and the hotel… you can have a package
2000 USD: spend a weak in a red sea resort+few days in pharaoinic temples+round trip flight tickets+ best cataract for your dog done by human cataract surgery consultant..
